that being said.....yes...wish us luck with the dengue fever, hopefully bathing in Deet should help. Also, to address Megan's concern, I will be monitoring Chris's food 24-7, as we don't want to have another mushroom incident. (which really could have been ugly). As for today, our cars are on Craigs list and Chris' little tanks are on ebay!!! tank anyone?

June 29th, 2008
Well I am officially in the blogging business and am hereby resolving to at least update this thing regularly and I promise to try my best to not bore you all to tears. Clearly you find something mildly amusing about us otherwise you would not be reading my silly online journal. (you probably think Chris is crazy and therefore is worth monitoring)

June 28th, 2008
It is another rainy day here in Middletown Springs and HOT! I consider this good training for moving to an equatorial region of the world. We have much to be thankful for here in Vermont, like not worrying if we are going to contract Malaria or Dengue Fever every time a mosquito bites us! We have gotten through a week of trying to pre-medicate ourselves and have come to the realization that immunizations and Malaria drugs are great...but not 100% effective. We are trying to not to worry to much about what will be and instead focus on what is. We are almost totally immunized (except for a few more shots that Chris has to get) and my arms are almost back to normal. I have to say that the doctors and nurses over in Dartmouth are FANTASTIC and we are feeling very "prepped" for what we should expect upon arrival in Nigeria. We are going to keep plugging away at packing our lives up and selling/giving away our belongings this week. If anyone would like anything...give us a call! Until the next posting.....
